I told him about some possibilities that the web offers at the moment, and I decided that I had to tell him how to find and use tools that can help him and his pupils achieve a better learning.
That's the reason I present here some lines and links on songs and ELT. They are just practical tools, stuff that helps students spend a good time learning.... discovering... maybe wanting to know more...
There is a lot of academic production related to the use of "popular song" in ELT. It's highly advisable to browse these material, and it's something I want to do some day. But at the moment, what I can offer here are very basic tools, practical ones, with a positive evaluation in real, practical contexts. A linguistic and
pedagogical scafolding is desirable, but practice sometimes complements the previous one, and even sometimes it can build a new and original one that becomes the grounds for further theoretical research of the practitioners...
So, I hope somebody can enjoy it and share some good moments with other people learning new things!
